on commercial flights that are rented to solely that team for that flight, i would think that coaches, etc. would get business class, while the players got coach…ironic huh?

Most teams charter flights. Some teams with generous owners have private planes. The Pistons had Roundball One. One of the terrorism stories mentioned how the CIA used a private plane used for the Red Sox to take a suspected terrorist overseas.
